I am breathless to share this great news: Around two years ago, I found it intolerable that Red Hook fire companies near my house had 9/11 fatalities without local recognition. I organized petitions and last winter myself and local firefighters presented them to Brooklyn CB6/Community Board_6 Transportation Committee which unanimously approved/recommended them to the full CB6 meeting with further unanimous approval etc thru NYC maze
